efficiency in particular faculty. Similarly some students are fast learner and all-rounder. Such students always top the competitive activities including exams. But other students are potentially better in particular field or subjects. For example some students are good in Math and science so they opt for Science stream in the college level while others are good in social sciences.

Keeping all individual differences in terms of intelligence and psychology in consideration, the ministry of education in the countries like Nepal and India introduced the system of compartment or supplementary or Chance Exam.

Chance Exam (CE) is a system of conducting exam by the board of exam in the second time for the students who failed in one or maximum two subjects after the two months of result declaration. Students failing in more than two subjects are considered as exempted students and they cannot write CE and they have to write all the papers in the next public annual board exam.

The principal objective of the provision of CE is to promote weaker learners to higher education because if a student is weak in mathematics, can opt for humanity subjects (Arts) as a suitable optional subjects.
